About Carol

I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
                             Philippians 4:13

IF anyone is surprised by the paths that God has led her on, it is Carol Round. Although she has seen success in other areas of her life as a former teacher, professional photographer and freelance writer, she never envisioned herself as a columnist, especially a faith-based columnist.

But God had other plans for her life. Carol's columns take an honest, and sometimes humorous, look at the struggles we all have with fears, uncertainty, self-esteem and relationships, as well as life's joys and surprises. "A Matter of Faith," her self-syndicated column, currently runs in 12 Oklahoma newspapers and Capper's, a national publication with a circulation of 200,000+.

Carol's feature stories, essays, poetry and photos have appeared in American Profile magazine, Western Horseman, Plus magazine, Oklahoma magazine, Ozark Mountaineer, the Don't Sweat the Small Stuff anthology series, Raging Gracefully and Hometown Heroes.

She is the mother of two grown sons, grandmother to Cheyenne and Brennan, and obedient owner to a spoiled dog named Taco. Carol resides in Claremore, Oklahoma, where she retired after 30 years as a high school teacher.
