But God had other plans for her life.      Carol's feature stories, essays, poetry and photos have appeared in American Profile magazine, Western Horseman, Plus magazine, Oklahoma magazine, Ozark Mountaineer, the Don't Sweat the Small Stuff anthology series, Raging Gracefully and Hometown Heroes.

     She is the mother of two grown sons, grandmother to Cheyenne and Brennan, and obedient owner to a spoiled dog named Taco. Carol resides in Claremore, Oklahoma, where she retired after 30 years as a high school teacher.
